“I am relieved to see you!” “Are you okay?” “I evaded the rebel attack,” Illya replied. “Did you bring food?” Solo produced two oranges from his pack. “Catch!” He tossed one to his partner. “Sorry, this will have to hold us until we locate our backups.” Illya paused from devouring his orange. “Where are they, then?” Napoleon indicated the direction from which he had come. “Through these trees, over the ridge somewhere. Can you manage?” The Russian nodded. “Minor injuries. I just can’t zoom along as usual. One thing though.” “Yes?” “Are you going to eat that other orange?”

“There.” Illya indicated a blur of movement partially obscured by dark green foliage. “Can you zoom in on those trees?”
Napoleon peered through his binoculars as the Russian banked their helicopter the indicated direction. “He has to know he can’t escape on foot.”
“Perhaps he believes his prison jumpsuit will blend in with the ripening fruit.”
“He’d need a pumpkin patch, not oranges.”
“This is a man who didn’t have the sense to attack a well-guarded fortress at midnight instead of noon.”
Napoleon shrugged. “True. If he’s the brains behind the rebels, catching the foot soldiers should be a cakewalk.”
