I don't get them very often. When I do get one, 3 am sounds about right. All I can do is get up and try to walk it out. Drinking enough water throughout the day really does help.
I do remember those skates. Yes, they were adjustable and in theory, that was a great idea. The problem was, inevitably, they would unlock and come apart. I did learn to skate on them though, and had a lot of fun. Reminds me of Melanie's song, Brand New Key.
