I was just thinking a few hours ago that I should start thinking about Thanksgiving dinner. It'll probably be a bit different this year, I need to talk to David and my brother to see what they'd like to do.
Since this was questions from yesterday, I’m going with my to do list for today: get the winter tires into the car and take it to the garage for it’s check-up and tire change. Then I’ll plant garlic and tulip bulbs, dig up the horseradish and prune back the raspberries, and put away all the patio furniture and flower pots (and move my winter bike to the house). Hopefully the shed will have room for my barbecue as well. Once that’s all done, I want to make some applesauce, stir fried vegetables, pupusas and stewed pears (my fridge is overflowing).
If the kids come over, I’ll make pupusas. Otherwise, maybe a stir fry.
Now that I'm answering this, "tomorrow" is "today!" The one thing on my to-do list is to be ready for the insurance inspector coming in a few hours, which means straightening up the house. I also have my Zoom small group later this afternoon.
Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's nouse hasn't been precisely planned, but we know we will be bringing some dishes, most likely what we have brought in previous years. (pickled mushroom hors d'oeuvre, veggie crock pot casserole, creamed onion casserole.)
What shoes would I like to see back in style? None of those shoes pictured, that's for sure! I do not like saddle shoes. I was made to wear them as a child, and -- UGH!!! Just keep flip-flops in fashion, is all I ask! I also do not want 3-inch heels or skinny, pointed dress shoes that pinch! (Even if they were in fashion, I wouldn't wear them!)
What's on your To Do list for tomorrow? Not much. I might get around to mopping the floors.
Have you started thinking about Thanksgiving dinner yet( or, for my non American cousins, what are you making for dinner)? For dinner today I'm having chicken braised in soy sauce, stock, and peanut butter, over rice.
What style of shoe would you really love to have come back into fashion? My favourite brand of shoes, Altra, stopped making their shoes with a really wide toe box and I really miss those. I wish they would bring them back.
