1. Not sure. Lot of places I'd like to visit, but not sure I want to move permanently. Depending on the next election, Denmark and Finland may start to look really good though.
2. Assuming I don't need to learn Finnish or Danish; Scots Gaelic. Also Klingon (because swearing in Klingon is very satisfying and speaking it in public would be a great way to meet weird people.)
3. I don't think I have ever been on a ferry.
4. Seattle to Atlanta to DC to Harrisburg. Took three hours to check in at SeaTac and the Atlanta to Harrisburg plane was rerouted to DC for a mechanical problem and it took forever for them to get us on something that could handle the short runway at Harrisburg (the runway stops abruptly at the edge of the river.) We left the hotel before lunch and I got home after 11 PM.
1. Either Los Angeles, or London. London has so much history I could explore forever, and there are wonderful museums. LA is close to the ocean, and mountains, and has museums and theaters and gardens and I could grow just about anything.
2. Given how often I can't think of the word I want any more, I'd say English! But if it were another language it would be Spanish. (Or if I lived in London, either French or Welsh)
3. 2003. We went from Bellingham to Port Townsend (Washington)
4. Spokane to San Jose. It took forever, because the plane crapped out coming into Seattle (belching smoke). And then the plane they decided to put us in instead had electrical problems and couldn't be used. After another couple hours they decided that one could fly anyway. So it was like a 3 hour wait in Seattle. Oh, this was my first plane flight. I had to wonder if flights were always that effed up.
5. It would depend on what the geography and biota was like.
No city. I would live in the country with mountains and forests and rivers and lakes and ... Amazon still delivers there.
I do speak a language fluently. Always wanted to learn German, though.
LAX to Heathrow. 10 or so hours.
Scotland, a LONG time ago, to the Isle of Wight.
If I discovered a country it would already have a name. If I discovered a land no one had ever seen before ... I think naming it would be far, far down my list of things to do.
