Argh about the ants. Late spring and summer is when crickets (thankfully silent) suddenly start appearing in my sunroom and basement, and I've begun seeing them. I spray, I've filled in every crack, I've reminded the Cricket Gods that this is a House of Death for them, but still they appear every year. As Galadriel so wisely said, we're all "fighting the long defeat". Thank goodness for autumn.
We get them in our basement and the first floor. Like you said, late summer and early fall. We’ve already seen one - too early -we set sticky traps down and spray eco smart since we have dogs. I really do dislike them

There aren't as many of them today - thankfully.

She's struggling since she lost her bestest bud, Tito, and then Manolo. She is really nervous these days. I wish we could explain things to pets.

I know she must be so confused. I wish it, too. :(
