Is anyone else having a problem changing icons while responding to posts? I can do it when I post, but not when I am answering someone else's posts...

Update - The Wretching found a way around it - do your response post as normal, then edit it and pick the user picture you want and it will post the right one.

Over the last couple of days it's been happening to me and a bunch of LJ mates. It's very inconsistent when it just uses your default icon or the one you choose although you can force it, if you want, by editing your comment.

Oh, and it has been reported to LJ and they say it's a known issue and they're working on it.

I noticed the same thing last night... was sure I selected particular user pic in responding to post, but then had to go back and edit my comment because it posted my default.

Let's see how it goes this time.

I'll ask for My Illya on Communicator pic and if it goes to my default it'll show my blue collar bone...

Oh! Look at that, evidently still buggy.
I very clearly asked it as always to use the pic I wanted, and it didn't do it.

I suspect it'll still fix it if you go back and edit (I'll try again w/ this comment and edit if need be to change pic. Shooting for Bullseye user pic this time)

But anyway that is annoying if you have to do it every time... Maybe they are working on it??

ETA: displayed my default again when I hit "post" Will try to edit and fix.
