Glad to hear good news on the kitty front! And happy you have managed to avoid extreme heat. The past week here has been brutal. We broke the all time Temperature Humidity Index record - it reached 119! Needless to say, I hunkered down indoors.
Today it will be “only” in the 80s. I can get out and run around a bit on errands and visits. Tra la.
Yeah I'm super not impressed when they leave them in their cages like that -_- if it's a non-emergency I'd rather just bring them on a different day (I've dealt with that issue around here, especially since the pandemic). Yay for a good visit besides that. :)
Summer...I don't know. It really did just fly by this year. o_O
For Jenny, it wasn't an option and Tina was on a schedule, so we sort of had to do it. Plus we have to drug Jenny to get her in there and I prefer to do that as little as possible. She slept through most of it, thankfully.
The Bon used to get cystitis frequently, it was a nerve thing (every time I had to move!) My vet okayed Jackson Galaxy's UR Fine solution, so she gets that every night with her canned food and hasn't had a recurrence of it in 5 years. It must have been very hard for the kitties and also very hard for you guys. I don't think that was very nice of your vet, but perhaps there were Reasons.
They figure it might have been Tina that caused it, but it was months after we brought her in. And she's had it before. I usually treat it with Homeopet Feline UTI med and she responds well, but I left it too long this time. Poor thing was miserable.
They were short a vet and an assistant, so that contributed to the mess.

When it gets that hot, the best thing is to stay inside. That's what we do here.
Glad you have cooled down a bit. I long for 80's weather.
