Today, we went up the coast in the other directions in order to explore the Sun Coast. Not sure what the difference is besides the names. It, like the Gold Coast, is dotted with fun little towns and fabulous beaches

Your post brings back memories of a three or four day trip some friends and I took over Christmas, up from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and back. We slept in our car - we were poor students.
I'm sorry you had the less-than=pleasant experience of dealing with sand in your bathing suit.
Sand in my bathing suit and on my body makes me cringe...and I was brought up with the fine sand of the Lake Michigan beaches so I must have gotten fussier with age. LOL
Sounds like a good day in all...and no, I did not know about Chris' love of ginger. That reminds me of my friend Elizabeth who uses ginger in everything...it can be quite spicy!

It was still fun and I laughed like a crazy woman when it happened. I wouldn't want to be vacuuming out the car, though.

I can appreciate that. There were a lot of students there, cramming in one more week before heading back to school. They were everywhere.
That's okay, just part of the fun! It isn't like I haven't been wet and sandy before. :DD

I don't usually mind sand in my suit, but after a two-hour car ride back, it sure felt good to change. :P
The ginger they grow is very mild, it has the flavor ,but not the bite.
Me, too. That has made this trip alone.
