We have spider year-round, so no worries here and I'd much rather have them than the mosquitoes and then have to worry about West Nile and a dozen other diseases ours carry.
No rain here, sadly, although we could really use some. Our leaves get picked up by a giant vacuum cleaner like device. We call it the Great Suck and its itinerary is posted, so you just rake your leaves to the curb and away they go to the giant compost heap in the sky.
Because of the large pine trees outside, we have to use lights downstairs all day. Makes it cooler down there and if we want the sun, we just come upstairs. The porch off the bedroom is glorious this time of the year.
I'm firmly in love with Autumn. If only it lasted longer...
In Hilton Head, there must be a freeze at some point during the winter months, which are only January and February. A freeze seals the death of mosquitoes and gnats from the summer before. Of course, they return in the spring, but it's worse if there is no freeze.

I'm not keen on it either. I'm allergic to sagebrush and a host of other things... like cats. Yeah, ironic much?

That's what happens to me around dogs and ragweed (as well as other of my allergens!)

I always do my happy dance when this happens.

You wake and it's misty. Either the mist clears to leave complete cloud cover, or it thickens to drizzle and you get cold and wet if you go outside.
The wet leaves are rotting on the trees.
I have to switch the lights on indoors mid afternoon if I want to read.
I don't like autumn!
