Have you ever fainted? What happened?

Have you ever been electrocuted?

If you could ride any kind of animal, what would it be?

just wondering

1) Twice - The first time was at a long time ago, at high school, when I was feeling terrible period cramps, and I fell down in the busy hallway, and a couple of friends of mine noticed and they took me to the nurse's office. The nurse said I looked very pale, and since I regained consciousness, they didn't have to call an ambulance. The second time was a couple of years ago, I fainted outside because of the sweltering weather and having worked outside for over an hour, and Maddie helped me back inside.

2) Nope

3) A horse or a elephant

Have you ever fainted? What happened?

I've fainted twice in my life. The first time I was 16. We were in line to see the crown jewels, at the Tower of London. After about an hour I fainted.
The second time was right after my son was born. I was given a spinal right before he was born. A few hours later they wanted me to walk around. 2 Nurses walked me back and forth a couple of times and then let me go. I fainted.

Have you ever been electrocuted?

The only time was while I was mowing the lawn with an electric mower. I ran over the cord, a couple of times, I think. Then I touched the cord and got shocked. I did feel it, but it wasn't bad.

If you could ride any kind of animal, what would it be?

I really can't think of any animal I'd be interested in riding.

Happily, I've never fainted or majorly electrocuted myself. After all the messing around I've done in theatre, both have been a blessing.

I miss being able to ride anything these days.

I remember riding horses - sigh, it was a million years ago, though.

1. No
2. I got shocked during a cardiac resuscitation when a fellow nurse hit the paddles before saying clear... I was trying to put in an airway. It definitely got my attention.
3. I have ridden horses and a donkey. Hmmm. No idea.

Yikes. I bet that made you sit up and take notice. Was the nurse charged with procedural neglect?

The nurse was pretty stressed from the start as the patient had made a suicide attempt. I couldn't get angry at her she was about 18 months out of school and new to psychiatry. I felt bad for the kid. She went back to clinic work after that experience.

Ah, an honest mistake them. It's good that she went back for some more experience in the clinic.
