I’ve never seen an episide of Game of Thrones. Although I heard enough complaints about the finale that perhaps that was a wise decision.

Our friends tried so hard to get us hooked, but it was Uber violent and I'm not a fan of the time period anyhow. I don't miss it.

Same with us. TBG really tried because his friend loves it, but it just wasn't his cup of tea. I'm not a fan of Medieval stuff, so I passed because of that and the violence.

Same here. We tend to do cozy murder mysteries like Midsomer!

I'm not a Game of Thrones fan either. I read the first book in the series, and didn't like it at all. It could practically be a drinking game, sheesh. I also saw an interview with George R.R. Martin where he made very disparaging comments about people who write fanfiction. I probably should't judge the guy on one interview, but it really rubbed me the wrong way.

Hey, I used to be a huge fan of Billy Joel, but one concert he insulted and belittled a backstage guy and it turned out he'd messed his own mic up. Not one word of apology and that was it. My cds and DVDs were off to Goodwill.

Yep same thing with John Fogarty. I loved his music, loved Creedence then I heard an interview where he said nasty things about everyone in the group and how he was the only one with any talent. No more anything to do with John Fogarty.

It sucks, doesn't it? You want to think these artists are at least decent people. Marion Zimmer Bradley. She fundamentally ADMITTED to procuring children for her husband to abuse. I couldn't believe it. It included their own child. You can bet her books went into the bin at that point. Makes you wish you could take the purchase back!

I don't know about taking a lot of time to read all of this years posts. You could be more productive and watch an entire episode of Doctor Who or MFU (with commercials) in the same time it would take to read all of my posts for this year. 😺

I'd much prefer one of those to GoT...
