I finally got it to let me post with the old style. Ye gods...

It periodically offers me the choice to use the new post option, which I click away every time. Then it leaves me alone for a while. I usually post via the big desktop PC, though. I had little problems with my tablet, like not allowing me to use the editor above or the mood stuff.

AGREED :( I've noticed it makes everyone's icon super tiny, too?? The icons are already SO small, I don't want them smaller!

I'm fighting the change, too. However, I use Semagic for posting entries to both Dreamwidth and LJ. I don't even use LJ's or DW's posting feature. I keep praying that Semagic will continue to work forever. The guy that created it isn't really monitoring and updating it anymore, so it may have a shelf life at this point.

I like my old layout. Harumph. I don't like the new comment post options on someone who is using the new post options, too. I like to see it in MY layout!!

For some reason, it just decided to change my journal over to the new 'all white' layout. I need to go back and force it into the old format again.
