Yay, a working stiffs one! Love it... and our clever young nurse noticed that probably Illya was, well, kind of Nellie's territory...

Yes, I'm sure Nellie would be a 'guiding' force in keeping her away from Illya!

Thanks for reading!

Well, the .45 that Nellie keeps in the right pocket of her labcoat might have also helped keep the newby ... focused.

Always Pee When You Get A Chance

That's one of the queen's rules. Apparently on royal visits to anywhere, one loo is given a new coat of paint and fresh flowers for her use. All others are hidden by displays etc. so she can only go at the freshly painted one whether she wants to or not.

Have I mentioned how much I love your Working Stiffs series? The whole concept of using peripheral characters to shine a light on our heroes is fantastic - and I love how real these minor characters are. It's a lovely reminder of how none of us goes through life alone, that we touch and are touched by others all the time.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Seriously, I am thrilled (and still a little amazed) at how people have tuned into this series.

When I first started working, I was told to always be polite to the mailroom staff and the janitors as nothing gets done without them. Then I started working in a mailroom and understood the wisdom of that advice. No one plays a small in inconsequential role in any job and the guys are no exception. They need a huge framework of folks who keep everything in balance so Napoleon and Illya can do what they need to do.

Plus it gives me a chance to roadtest new characters!

Thanks again for reading and commenting!

You want your experiment to work, you keep the lab tech happy. :~)

I'd forgotten I'd dropped this prompt on you, you did a very good job with it. I enjoy your stories.

I have said it before but I love reading about the other people in UNCLE who keep the home fires burning and make life easier for the ones on the front lines. One thing I learned being a supervisor, I never asked anyone to do something I wasn't prepared to do myself. Another fine story Spike!
