Yup, that's how it looks whenever I start a project. They are right in the middle of it. They were so helpful last night with the tree!

oh yes!

the year they were kittens we had a table top tree with only nonbreakable ornaments
we decorated it on Christmas Eve as is our custom
by New Years Eve Bebe and Risha had untrimmed it

I only found three downed ornaments this morning, so I'm thinking that's a good thing. I make sure the ones within kitty reach are unbreakable so that I don't stress and they can enjoy the tree, too.

It's usually pretty colorful, but I've managed to keep my guys from tracking paint onto the carpet... the furniture hasn't bee as fortunate. My desk looks like a warzone.
