WriterconUK Midimeet

Aug 12, 2007 16:39

I waved Chris and the girls off yesterday morning, then wended my way northwards on the M1 to attend the second half of the writerconuk Midimeet.

Nottingham's not that far, really )

*hugs back*

I'm so glad you enjoyed it - it's always worrying when you're an organiser of something and you're not sure how it's going to go - I bet the relief that it went so well was marvellous. I'm glad you managed to enjoy yourself as well though - and you and Gill made a wonderful double act.

I'm so pleased you were able to come and even pleaseder (new word, invented just for you) that you enjoyed it. Next time you must do the whole event.

Glad you enjoyed it and got home OK. It took me 3 hours which wasn't too bad at all despite such torrential rain on two occasions that we all slowed down to under 30mph! LOL!

No-one missed me at all!!!!!

I don't remember what time I set off, but I'm sure the journey took about an hour, and I didn't hit too much rain thankfully. I think I whizzed past you at some point - unless there was someone else heading down the M1 in a Smart little car. :D

And I'm not surprised no-one missed you, what with the pizza and poker and all. :)

I'm so pleased you managed to make it and even more that you enjoyed it. Sue was utterly convinced no-one would show up to our thing and it would be a total downer, so I'm glad you felt it had some redeeming features!

Enjoy your week of domestic peace and quiet!

I had a great time - and you and Sue were a great double act.

My week of domestic peace and quiet includes a girly night in tomorrow - so I'll need to get on with some tidying up soon. :)

It was - good food, good company, pressies, clean sheets (or at least I hope they were) - couldn't go wrong really.

I've been enjoying your wankery icons - I think my favourite is 'Bendy, bless her heart'. :D
