This story is such fun!

I'm assuming she's somwhere in the Yucatan? The lack of ground water makes sense there. And I've spent enough time in that part of the world to sympathize with the heat and bugs! Poor Buffy.

Sorry to hear that your computer woes are still unresolved. That just really sucks! Here's hoping you can get it/them straighted out soon!

Yep, the story takes place in the Mayan area of Mexico, which includes the Yucatan. Buffy isn't sure where she is, but you figured it out! Go, you!

We're hoping to have actual Internet access at HOME, by the beginning of August. Can't wait!

The cenote is a dead giveaway to the location. As soon as she saw the green circle I knew where she was.

I do like this - it is so unlike any other Buffy story I have read - but it is fascinating.

Thank you! I've seen various fics written about Vamp!Xander and Vamp!Willow from the Wishverse, but I don't remember seeing any about Wishverse!Buffy (although there must be some out there; I just haven't come across them), and when I was working out the plot for this fic, Wishverse!Buffy just seemed to fit perfectly.

Both stories I'm currently working on are pretty much gen/action/adventure. Hmmm . . . guess it's just too damn hot out to be romantic! *g*

Thank you! And YAY! I hoped I could evoke the actual physical and mental experience as Buffy was going through it. What a lovely compliment. I didn't want things to be too easy for her, because being dumped in a strange place with no water or shelter other than she could provide for herself isn't easy and I'm thrilled that you thought the difficulties came through.
