Yay!! I was just thinking this afternoon that I hoped you'd update this soon. :-)

This is an awful lot of fun. We're at a point now where nearly everyone has at least an inkling of the vampire situation; I'm looking forward to Booth (and even more, Brennan) finding out the details of that and what it actually means. I must admit, it took me quite a while to identify Angel's rescuer, but I was glad to see him again. Your Buffy-rant is spot on, complete with completely giving things away and then making it worse by trying to cover her own slips. I also love the poor, confused stoner.

Oh, thank you. I'm so glad you're still enjoying this. I love Buffy when she's confused and tired and not really thinking about what she's saying. Xander gets most of the credit for babbling, but Buffy can be right up there with him when the circumstances are right. *g*

Yep. Things are coming together as the various threads are being woven tighter. This is really a fun story to write. Thanks for continuing to read and comment.

Well he's not the Immortal nor Ethan Rayne (my first guess until I re-read it) so who is Angel's mysterious benefactor?

I see we're on a collision course as the characters gather together - what fun.

Well, he's definitely not the Immortal . . . but your second guess is a bit more spot on. Teehee! When we last saw him, he was being taken away by the Initiative to their facility in Nevada, but although they might try to restrain/control him by a chip similar to Riley's, you just know he'd figure out a way to circumvent it.

I think it was that sentence that threw me. I don't have the DVDs available to me at the moment but are you certain that Angel never saw Ethan in "The dark Age" when he bursts in to save Buffy from Eyghon?

I'm pretty sure he didn't. I checked the transcripts to refresh my memory, and I'm not 100% certain without watching it again, but I believe Jenny/Eyghon had shoved Ethon aside and he was sort of cowering behind a table during the Giles fight with Jenny/Eyghon. Then Angel rushes in, he chokes Jenny/Eyghon, the demon possesses him, Angel has the internal demon/demon fight, he throws off Eyghon and collapses to the floor. Everyone runs over to see if Angel is okay and Ethan gets up and runs out of the shop while Angel is still collapsed on the floor with Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles all gathered around him. And then Xander mentions that Ethan disappeared again. So I figured Angel didn't really get a look at Ethan, although he'd know the name from "Halloween" and "The Dark Age". I could be wrong, of course. Now I'll have to rewatch that eppisode again, just to be sure. *g*

I love Buffy and Boothe. I've started watching Bones-- which is all your fault BTW!-- and it's been fun picturing the interactions as you write them. Your Boothe is particularly fun as he tries to figure out what's going on!

Oh, thank you. I love Bones - even though it is much gorier? Is that a word? this year than last, when they just dealt with bones. When Cam came on board to do the flesh stuff, the gore increased dramatically. And one of my favorite characters, Dr. Goodman, went on sabbatical. *sigh* Still, I love Booth, and YAY! another Bones convert! Bones and The Dresden Files are the only two shows I watched this year. I just got tired of getting into new shows and having them be summarily cancelled. (But I might have to pick up Blood Ties on DVD, if it's renewed for another season. *g*) And, while writing this fic, I'm starting to think Buffy/Booth would make a good couple in a way Buffy/Angel never could because of all their history (and if she was going to have an ongoing relationship with a vampire, she and Spike are much better suited.) OMG! I might have to write Buffy/Booth!

Oh, thank you! Jimi kind of got a "Spike reprieve". Hee! I had originally planned to have Dru eat him, but he amused me so much as he developed that I decided to have her just attack him and have Buffy and Booth save him instead. I guess he can be thankful that he never got to have be "Christmas dinner".

It seems to be heading that way, but maybe I'll finish this one up and do a Buffy/Booth as a continuation in this particular 'verse. I'll have to see how it goes.

Ethan and Dru as partners in chaos just seemed so right; with Daddy and her Dark Prince out of the picture, a girl needs some fun in her unlife, right? *giggles*
