I think my monitor is starting to flicker on/off more frequently.

Is this a sign it might be giving up, and it's time to start looking for a new(er) one?

I got this from Freecycle, and it known it came from a local college, so goodness knows how old it is or how much it was used before it came to me.

Hmm... this one I have now is from Freecyle, and I'm no unsure whether or not to get another from Freecyle, or to stump up the cash I don't have (or rather, the cash I've been saving for a new camera) to get a new one.
