Fic: Angelic (Tanz der Vampire, Alfred/OMC)

Another fic for a prompt at comment_fic.

The theme was "moral relativism" and the prompt was (see here: Tanz der Vampire ; Alfred ; He's not particularly evil... as far as vampires go, at least.

Again, the story became a little longer than the comment length which should be the standard for the community, but more fic is the main thing, right?

I have to say that it's a really nice story. Even though I am a Herbert/Alfred fan (surprise, surprise XD), still I admit that I really enjoy reading stories in which Alfred is paired with other characters (either Sarah or some original characters).

I really like the original character you've created for this story: even though we don't know that much about him I confess that I felt a little sympathy for him (plus I think I know upon whome this boy was based on: that's at least my guess ;)). And, as always, you managed to capture Vampire!Alfred's character really really well. :)

Oh, and I also like the moment in which Alfred imagines what he could tell Herbert, hehe... :D

To sum up: I really liked the story. It was sweet and really well written.

I'll definitely be looking forward to some other stories you'll write: the world needs more well-written TdV fics! :D :D

Thank you for your comment! And I'm really glad you liked the characters - and that you don't mind Alfred being paired with someone else than Herbert as well. Hmm, I'm obvious much about my muses, am I? :-D And for the record, the Alfred is Gyuri!Alfred in my mind. Nobody else is quite so bouncy as a vampire. :-D

I hope I'll have time to write more when the festival is over, I do have many ideas. Thank you for the feedback!

I think this is one of my top favourites out of your Tanz fics. Love how you've written Alfred here. My favourite bits were his musings on Herbert (too funny!) and the last line.

...Why is Alfred still so adorable in death? I love it! Most of all because he didn't come off sounding like a Twilight vampire (I apologize if you happen to like the Twilight series; if you do, I'm just going to say that Tanz der Vampire is a classic of a different standard, and leave it at that...). He was still quite devious but he wasn't pushy like Herbert, which was nice to see. I also enjoyed the fact that his seduction methods are subtle in comparison to Herb's --- heck, the two of them should have a competition. That would be such a hoot.

Also, this crached me up: "...and they could actually talk things that made sense."

Oh, my darling Herbert...you shouldn't be so forward when you woo.

You really managed to make me feel for your OC too, though we didn't get to know too much about him it's easy to imagine what he's like.
