Fic: Tanz der Vampire, Alfred/Herbert (rated R)

Since I finished and posted my Yuletide story already yesterday, I allowed myself to finish this Alfred/Herbert Tanz der Vampire fic that I had started. It's especially for elnischan because she wanted one and it got me to stop just thinking about writing such a fic and actually doing it. But it's equally for anyone else who would enjoy it

Oh, I simply adore you (and will most likely friend you as soon as I'm through with this review). I've been trying to build up the courage to write a piece on Herbert and Alfred, but the lack of the pairing (in fiction) online is a little disconcerting, and I do so enjoy squee-ing over a shared OTP with my fellow fans... *sigh* In any case, I've found you now, and I just wanted to thank you for rekindling my love of the pairing. (Personally, I always imagine Mate Kamaras as Herbert and Aris Sas as Alfred, but I'll hold back on the production fan-ness because I realize that there have been several versions of the musical done across Europe. Sorry I wasn't replying, I've been lazy about logging in and out. :-D Anyway, thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the fic and I'm also glad if it encouraged you to write some of your own because I adore your recent Alfred/Herbert fics. :-D

And oh, I certainly do know Aris as Alfred and Máté as Herbert! I became a fan in something like 2006 when there was rather little other stuff than the Vienna original around (and some bootlegs of newer German productions), so Aris especially is firmly entrenched in my brain as the paragon Alfred, and Máté also remains one of my favourite Herberts. It's just that in the recent years I've been seeing the show live, mainly in Budapest, so the actors I've seen live are now a stronger presence in my brain. The ones who originally delighted me are still a big influence as well, though!

I haven't seen any clips of the Budapest productions, but I've only heard the best about them---I guess I'm going to hunt for something to watch on youtube now so I can see what they're up to. I just love the various interpretations of the characters... *happy sigh* :)

Whaa~ how can you write so many Tanz fics?
So far I've loved everything you made, this being no exception!

Poor Alfred, Herbert is being so pushy (and damn easily aroused) xD

Actually never thought deeper about the line with the Black Grail, but it's quite the intriguing concept, and I bet Herbert would just love to show Alfred all there is to that ;)

(Am too lazy to log onto this account, so I comment back with my regular journal.) Weeeelll, at one point I had way too much free time. And my muse is always supplying me with as many ideas as I have time to write, or usually more. Currently I have much less free time, which is why the fic production has almost stopped, though I keep hoping to get back to it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! This is one of my older stories, and I haven't read it in a while, but I remember it was fun to write. :-)
