I have the weirdest urge to read Emily Dickinson?

Today (at work) I managed to splash boiling funnel cake grease all over my hand. Funnel cake grease is very, very hot and it hurts like hell. However, it didn't start to blister until about now (approximately seven hours after the fact). I do not appreciate this delayed blistering, Mr. Hand. I do not appreciate it at all
