I just found out yesterday that Jackson is now doing THREE Hobbitses films, not just the two. I already thought two was one too many--it's meant to be a cosy fable with some dark undertones, not a bloody epic--that was Lord of the Rings.

I just do not take kindly to treating the late lamented JRRT as the last cash cow of the 20th century.
