I've read too much Norse mythology to ever see Loki as redeemable or nice. I have developed the reflex of running and hiding whenever Loki appears - it is sensible.

Everything I know about Norse mythology I learned from the Wikipedia entry of American Gods, but Loki was a total shithead in that book and I figure Gaiman knows more about him than the people over at Marvel.
