If anybody in the house is a sword collector, see if they'll let you borrow one to whack an inanimate object with (rolled up tatami mats are ideal, but cardboard will do in a pinch). Lemme tell ya, there's nothing like hacking apart imaginary enemies to release the pressure on one's brain.
