There is a nest tucked next to the ac in my bedroom and the cats are totally flapped by it; might be the same situation ?

I read somewhere that cats don't like the smell of citrus, so if you rubbed some orange or lemon peel on it then it might deter Phoenix from his (?) explorations. (and you might get a nice citrus smell in the air!)

(failing that, chuck an orange at him every time he goes near the air con, he'll soon learn!)
