Well, ain't this special. I think my computer is fucked. It says my Windows config is corrupt and it won't boot. It tells me to use the back up disk to repair it, but I don't have one. I called Dell and they said my warranty ran out in March --funny how that works, eh? Tech support is expensive, so will have to wait

I realize we've never met...but: have you considered doing a complete reinstall? If you can reboot in safe mode you might be able to do it.

How do I reboot in safe mode? I am clueless.
