Me = Bored At Work. Bumming around the Internets (what else is new?). Browing for curtains for the living room at Hole In The Wall. One whole wall is all windows and sliding glass door, and needs curtains desperately. Because HITW is basically a big white box, I need color in this place like chinga. And me being me, I'm thinking huge sweeping

I made most of our curtains, and I was going to say "get fabric and make friends with someone cute who has a sewing machine" until I realized you were talking about velvet. In that case, I'd say "get blackmail material on someone who has a sewing machine". But then I thought, the more time you muck around with curtains, the less time you have to spend writing me lovely pr0n, so I say: buy the curtains.

I picked Raspberry because I'm a sucker for all shades of deep red. But it really does depend on the color of your furniture. I mean, if it's mostly neutral colors, then any of these colors will look amazing (except for gold, which is just too close to tan). But if you have brightly colored furniture, you need neutral drapes, otherwise it becomes TOOMUCHCOLOROMG!

Also, make sure you get kitty-proof drapes :-)

Eggplant. And buy the buggers.

Why? I like purple. Purple velvet is better. Or you can find a nice jewel-tone green or blue. tell "neutral colors" to piss off.

And I sewed the curtains for my living room. The front ones have been up for years, the back ones are still not finished. And they're not lined at all. and my windows are COLD... see where this is going?
