Why? I technically am a non-reproductive female. I had my tubes tied and am no longer able to have children. Doesn't stop me from having an opinion. I am pro-choice because everyone should be able to decide what they do with their bodies. To me, this encompasses more than just whether or not to keep an unwanted pregnancy. Pro-choice issues are just ground work for everything else.
I don't technically disagree with you about abortion itself. I am not necessarily an advocate for abortion but I am an advocate for pro-choice. There are a lot of things that can be done to a child than take their life. Maybe that sounds cold but it's the absolute truth. Parents that are not fit to be parents can do some really horrible things to their children. I'd like to think that children that die by abortion have another chance in the next life to be born to parents that will love and nurture them. My heart bleeds more for children who are victims of abuse, starvation, or inadequate living conditions than for children who die by abortion. It's not pretty, any way you look at it but my thoughts on pro-choice have more to do with the child than with the mother, to be honest.
I think Both parents should have a choice in the matter, though. If they are not going to license childbirth then they have no right to legally remove the remaining rights surrounding that birth from the mother or father.
Of course, I disagree with pretty much everything society as a whole thinks and decides.

I don't know how to rectify that. We'd start to get into the dangerous territory of making women have babies they don't want to have and will not love.
I am not and would never call myself pro-choice. BUT you will see me very against anything that resembles a total abortion ban. I believe there are times when it is acceptable but in my opinion it is never right. That is my opinion.
I'm the same way. I think it would be really hard for me to handle making that kind of choice, myself, but I don't think the government should take that right away.

while i do not think that killing a child is right, it is thier soul that it tears, not mine. we will all eventually answer for our actions.
