The sun is at the same angle in April as in August (two months either side of the solstice). You wouldn't be surprised to get sunburnt in August, would you? ;-)
sunburnt british? I thought that's a sight you only get here, walking along the beach.... then you lost the attractive paleness and gained even more appealing red/brownness? :)
Just see that it doesn't happen again or you wear sunscreen. Sounds like you're not too far away from here, though. So if you're round the corner make sure to sneak past the office here!
