It's a pretty cute book series. It has references to just about every staple fairy tale you can think of... and then some. The basic premise revolves around two girls, whose parents have disappeared, who are tossed about in foster homes until a woman claiming to be their grandmother has them brought to her to a town where it turns out that the characters from the old tales are actually alive and kicking and, as descendants of Wilhelm Grimm, the girls are brought into the true family business - fairytale detective work.

So, cute, allusions aplenty, and pretty good reads considering that I swiped em out of the children's series section. Plenty of nods to the darker version of the Grimm's tales without being overly gruesome. I'd recommend it! ^.^

That really does sound interesting. I think I will have to check it out. I have an odd obsession with fairytales of any kind. :D

Children's books are sometimes better than "adult" books. D; Which is kind of sad, but it doesn't bother me anymore. If it's good, I want to read it. ^^

Love your icon btw. <333

Oh yes, I agree children's books can be better than adult books. Harry Potter sorta smacked that age line around and most people won't look beyond the hardcover anyway to see childrens vs adults. It's just a tad embarrassing when I read these things at work in the break room while other people around me trying to expand themselves to the classics and the latest adult fiction. ^.^0

Thanks~! Books FTW!
