No, I've actually heard that it's not that bad. I just wasn't all that interested in seeing it. Until I heard Karl Urban is in it, then remembered Simon Pegg is in it, then just found out that Eric Bana is in it. ARGH!
Ok, I stumbled across this comment in my inbox and had to laugh for like eleventy seconds now that everyone and Betty White loves the fuck out of this movie.
This is hilarious that you replied to this because i finally got this movie from netflix last week & just watched it tonight. It was pretty cool. I'm not INTO it like some people, and I don't think I'll ever understand the Zachary Quinto fixation y'all have, but, like I said, it was pretty cool. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Bana and Urban (go figure! *looks at comments above*), and I enjoyed all of the little nods to the old series. Then Pegg said, "I'm giving her all she's got, captain!" and I grinned like a lunatic - a completely involuntary and unexpected reaction. (go figure, again! - per previous comments, again)
I can't take Eric Bana seriously. He did sketch comedy here for so many years and created a bunch of iconic characters, so they're all I see when I see him.
The movie is not crap it is AWESOME shut up I love Sulu what of it?!?!?!?!?!
Seriously, though, it's a good movie. Supposedly if you get the comic that's the lead-in/tie-in to the film, it gives a ton of background on Bana's character, Nero.
It would help if I could spell "awesome" properly. Or use the proper end tags.
