Seen on juno_magic's LJ.

(Although this is one area of fandom I am not ashamed about. If I love a story, I do want to leave a review, so what I am going to do is see if I can read more, and then leave a review).

Quoting.

This week (January 27-February 2), I am going to make a concerted effort to leave a comment on every fic I read and enjoy. Too often, I ( Read more... )

Nothing beats specific reviews!

I usually copy and paste something from the chapter into the review to show specifically what I liked.

I don't understand writers who don't review. We know how important that kind of encouragement can be. And it's kind of like saying thank you for the fic, too.

It's priceless, yes!

I just assume people don't like it if they don't review - I suppose with kudos on AO3, at least we know some-one liked it.

Oh, I want to do this! I may not get to immediately, but yeah- I love reviewing. (I still owe you one for your latest...wanted to let you know I definitely haven't forgotten!) *hugs*

Lol, don't worry, Marty. I know you moved fandoms, (and as long as you are writing, and happy and reading great fic, that is the only thing that matters!) and honestly I don't expect it.

Great idea, Spice. But you've always been fantastic at leaving such heart-warming, ego-boosting, encouraging reviews. From personal experience I know that takes time and thought. Thank you. I just did my bit with a new fic rec post.

Well, I think many of my reviews, and the best (or maybe most encouraging ones) are when I have just read and am full to bursting with needing to say something! I mash keys and make terrible typos (fortunately Firefox underlines them) as I am like 'Let me at it!' :D
