Great imagery and I don't know if you meant to do that, but it I can sense the narrator's yearning.

Thank you! It is great if you can feel that yearning, that was something I admittedly wanted to show. What makes me anxious is if it is more mine as the writer, or Angeal's as a character. It was tough to pull off!

You are always good at yearning and at the subtle show of emotions.
I guess you are just not in Angeal as your are in Genesis and Sephiroth. I think your forte are twisted, power driven characters.

Thanks, hon. I think you are right, as much as I love him, Angeal is such a different personality to work with that he is often way out of my grasp.

God yesyesyes like this oh god yes. I love it when you write like this, all details and exposition. All that longing and melancholy, seeing what Genesis was becoming and to pull him back to innocence again, unable to do a thing. Ow. And beautiful. <3

Sphinxy, you're killing me with all of these fantastic fics you've been writing lately. This is beautiful. So much wanting from Angeal and his thoughts on Genesis where just....*wipes eyes* so tragic. Made my heart ache in all the right ways!

Thank you so much love, you are such a kind reviewer! I can only imagine what Angeal must've felt when everything started to go downhill and he realised it is all about Genesis... but I tried and now I'm glad I did. :)
