ncks played me the hale zukas he's been recording for them and it sounds so brilliant i must say a big yay to heay and them, and bells jangle jangle hooting in time around open concrete box, recorders a plenty, sounding lovely not overly minstrelly, (shoulda took more sixth grade recorder opportunity) more hooting booping chanting (st-)&(d-)rumming

hawaii?! you not in oaktown for your bday? i tried to explain concept of "hapa" and my roommates shook their shaggy heads at me, befuddled by notion of hapa-city. "There's a word for that? Whaddaya mean Hawaiian?" ha ha white people.
