Memorial Day Weekend

May 28, 2007 15:35

So, I spent yesterday BBQing, seeing POTC 3, and playing Guitar Hero II at my cousins' house. Today my stomach hurts, I'm dying to see the movie again, and I can't get Sweet Child O' Mine out of my head. :D

Sounds like you had a fun Memorial Day Weekend. Ribs and beans for us...with maple syrup (despire what anyone says, it's surprisingly good together...very tasty)

"KING...hello~!" since that is probably one of the only lines I am going to have in my head for days now. Can't wait to see the movie again myself GOD IT WAS SO AWESOME...davy jones/bucket OTP...want more backstabbing, pluxorz. I missed the trailers at the theatre. My engine light came on on the drive there, and then my sister nearly gave me a heart attack at a red light. Still, I wanna see Transformers when that comes out, too.

Guitar Hero II should be banned. D: I think I lost my sanity with that game, because now all I listen to on the radio are the classic stations. Heaven help me, I think I'm an oldies fan!!

Chicken and ribs here. Makes me hungry again thinking about it. And now I have this strange urge to try the maple syrup thing next time we BBQ. XD

I can't remember many specific lines, just a general sense of "damn, that was cool" that I left the theater with. Ah well, at least you didn't miss the movie itself. :P The Transformers trailer is all over Youtube and other sites if you want to check it out, too.

Yeah, Guitar Hero is making me listen to and enjoy old music as well. It's new and scary. XD

I had about the opposite reaction to Transformers.

Before seeing the trailer, I wasn't that interested in seeing it, but figured that I probably would. Now, I'm definitely not interested in seeing the movie (in theaters, but I might borrow it from a friend on DVD some day).

I enjoyed PotC3, but not as much as you. I didn't have trouble following the plot. (Maybe those critics had gone to see the midnight showing and hadn't gotten enough sleep before hand. Or had overprepared for the movie with the rum.) But I did think that they crammed too much stuff into the movie.

I'm a bit confused about a bit at the end, but from what I hear, it's because they dropped out a few explanatory scenes. Not sure if I should go into it further because here be spoilers.

Well, I'm one of the two kids who grew up in the 80s and yet never got into any of the comics/shows/movies/what-have-you (except for the toys, because those were the embodiment of cool), so I had zero interest in the movie when I first heard about it. But the trailer looked much more fun than I expected, so yeah. (Plus I'm a big fan of Shia LeBeouf, and I didn't know he was in it until I saw the trailer. XD ( ... )

I think I might be one of the last ppl on earth who hasn't watched PotC XD Ah well.

Guitar Heroes II is the best thing ever. Played it at my boy's house yesterday, now I can't get Cheap Trick's Surrender out of my head. Excellent way to expose people to rock music I tell you, pure genius.

I wasn't really interested in Transformers before seeing the trailer either, then I saw it and was like ... whoa shiny *_* LOL we're such suckers (I hope the movie doesn't suck, damn trailers can be so optimistically misleading XD).
