You can take a shot at the others too if you want; I kinda want to see what people would guess. I've never kept my favorites in the other fandoms a secret or anything, but I also haven't pretty much shouted them out to the world like with Naruto. XD
Oh, I'm supposed to rant on why Sasuke is my favorite character... er, I'll do that later. I've said as much already in the past, so. :P
Right with Inuyasha and Avatar; good guesses on the other two. Ishida is probably my favorite Bleach character out of the main cast, but all my favorites in Bleach are actually side characters. Bleach is probably my hardest-to-guess category out of the bunch. XD
Incidentally, Aoba is of course my real favorite character, and will also serve as a default right answer for any of the fandoms listed.
Star Wars - Yes and no for Han. He's my favorite movie character, but my favorite EU character is different. I figure no one's going to guess that, though, so I might as well just say--it's his son, Jacen. I'll accept Han, though.
Heroes - I love Bennett way too much. XDDD And yeah, I got into Heroes back around January/February; awesome series. <3
The Star Wars books are terrible, at least the ones I've read - with one major exception, of course - the Thrawn trilogy. I might - no, wait, HAVE have to call my favorite SW chara is Thrawn. He's like Blue L. I like blue.
Ok, should probably get to the "explain why you like that character" part of the meme before I forget entirely.
1. Sasuke (Naruto)
I like Sasuke for a vast multitude of reasons, but probably my number one reason is because, despite all of the shit that's happened to him and all of these forces trying to drag him down, he's managed to make it through so far without giving in. As close to the edge as he's gotten at times, he's never actually gone over. It's funny because a lot of people--even some of his fans--either see him as an uncaring badass or a tragic victim. I see him as neither--he's not as evil as some might think, and neither is he a broken individual. I really see him as a mirror to Naruto in terms of strength, determination, and yes, even morality/idealism. He has so much potential in spite of everything, and I love that about him.
What I love about Bennett is how, especially during the early part of the series, he's so morally ambiguous most of the time. He's done thing (or supervising other people doing things) which were unsettling at best and arguably downright evil at worst. And yet, in spite of that, he has almost ridiculously noble intentions, and the further along the series gets, the more we see that he was never really a bad guy at all. And of course, that shows the most in his interactions with Claire--we eventually come to see just how much he loves her, and honest to God, it damn near broke my heart. I HAVEN'T SEEN THE FINALE YET, SO I'LL JUST BE SITTING HERE PRAYING HE SURVIVED IT IF YOU DON'T MIND. ::worries::
9. Han (Star Wars)
"You love me because I'm a scoundrel." Check and mate. It's absolutely impossible not to love him--he's ungodly cool, and yet another of those characters who seems morally iffy at first but turns out to have a heart of gold. While still remaining ungodly
( ... )
OR I COULD FORGET ENTIRELY AND END UP WAITING TWO MONTHS INSTEAD
2. River (Firefly)
I almost feel like I have to say this as a disclaimer every time I mention that River is my favorite character--I saw Serenity (the movie, not the episode) before I saw the rest of the series, so I knew right off the bat how amazing River would ultimately become. If I'd watched her in the series first, she might not be my favorite, because she spends a lot of time being cryptic and random and confused, and as interesting as she is (and as much as I adore her relationship with Simon), I don't think she gets truly compelling until the last episode, and then the movie. But man, she is so cool. Brilliant and utterly badass and just so damn fascinating every single time she's onscreen. River ilu. <3

And Darkhope guessed the Bleach one, though that was a good shot considering I said side characters. ;)
