This is just fabulous, O mystery author! I loved the setting (I have no idea why Italy is so popular, lol) of the story, and the pairing worked so, so well here. I liked how it was written non-linearly, starting off with Katie at the engagement party and then going back in time -- the structure worked really well here, and I thought the description of Katie's and Oliver's summer was beautiful.

What I thought was the best was that despite only a short conversation between Katie and Oliver, I thought the chemistry between them was so real and part of what made the pairing believable.

Anyway, this was wonderfully written. Well done :)
