I should have commented ages ago! This is so cute! I like it muchly. Poor Akiko, but yay for Bett. I like that John isn't much of the "right type" of guy, but he turns out quite terrific, in spite of being awkward and shy. And Bett just needs a little self-confidence :D Yay.

I agree with Katie. Such a cute story, and my comment is overdue. Predicaments are so much fun to read about. I enjoyed the exchange between Bett and John near the end; it gave me that warm feeling that you have yourself when there are tender moments in conversation, confiding a part of yourself in a new person.
