Its the little things that keep me going.

This time it was through stepping back and just watching as things unfold that has given me immense pleasure. Schadenfreude? Guilty as all hell. But oh boy does that feel good.

Or maybe that's from the sense of accomplishment from this weekends super study session.

I've been aiming low lately and the feel therefore the feel-good sentiment meter goes off more frequently.

Schadenfreude is only a venial, not a cardinal, sin to my mind (hell! sometimes it's not a sin at a all; I feel no guilt whatsoever in the pleasure I take in knowing Conrad Black is still behind bars).

I'd actually jumped to the conclusion you'd dodged a medical bullet, not a social one.

I enjoyed reading about your students and your teaching, by the way.

Nope this is all social bullet dodging. I'd like to think I am making the best of an uncomfortable situation.
