Title:Love of a Ridiculously Jealous Sort
Author: willows_whiten
Fandom: Brothers & Sisters
Pairing: Kevin Walker/Scotty Wandell
Rating: PG
Warnings: Hints at sex (innuendos)
Disclaimer: I own nothing (and it's probably better that way). I simply play with the characters for fun.
Notes: Title is based off an Agatha Christie quote. A different take on the "tea party" fight. Hopefully I explained enough to make it understandable for people who have never seen the show.

Scotty slammed his hands on his steering wheel. What the hell had happened? How had that gone so wrong? He rested his head on his hands, and closed his eyes. Okay:
1) He had come home from work early because Jason was going to be there.
2) Kevin had been upset about this.
3) Kevin refused to talk about it, claiming there was nothing to talk about.
4) He had stormed out of the loft to sleep in his car, because he certainly wasn't spending the night at Kevin's.

Really, it was Kevin who was at fault. Who was he to be upset when his boyfriend came home early? Kevin had been playing host to an ex-boyfriend. A gorgeous ex-boyfriend who was a minster and with whom Kevin had broken up over the phone. He had told Scotty it was because there were so many unfixable problems and that he had feelings for Scotty, but Scotty still suspected that one look at Jason and Kevin would go running back to him. So he had come home early to fight for what he currently had. . .and in the process had apparently lost it. Sure, Kevin hadn't broken up with him, but he certainly wasn't talking to him now. And it was going to be a long cold night. With a sigh, Scotty pulled his hood up, and laid down on the front seat, pulling his jacket over him as a blanket.
Just as Scotty was falling asleep, he heard a knock on his window. Groggily, Scotty looked up, and saw Kevin.
"I'm sleeping," he said, laying back down.
"Please Scotty," he heard. "Please open up."
Only because Kevin's incessant knocking was annoying, Scotty unlocked the door, and sat up.
"You were right," Kevin said.
"I was stupid."
"No. You were right when you said we should talk about this. You were right that it was more than you just crashing my tea party. The way I have it figured out, and please correct me if I got it wrong, but you felt threatened. You didn't think I would really pick you over Jason. But Scotty, you and I were together before I ever met Jason. We broke up and you didn't want to get back together. So my logical side, and you know I depend most on that side, decided I had to move on. But Scotty, I always would have picked you over him. Heck, look at our first dates. You and me, it was wonderful. Even with a rift about the kiss, it was still a wonderful first date. Jason and I never should have survived past our first date: I insulted his brother. The only reason we got another chance, was because we were both horny and the only gay men at the engagement party. So we made out in the pantry. But Scotty, you're the one I want. I've never regretted anything involving us, except everything I've ever said to you that upset you."
"But I was a jerk. I was jealous."
"I was proud of you."
"What?"
"You stood up for me. Jason goes to Malaysia and doesn't bother to call me. I doubt he even thought of me. But you, you're worried that I might want to leave you, so you wanted to make sure I knew all of my options before deciding. I choose you Scotty."
"This has all been really sweet, but, it's," Scotty paused to check his watch, "Two in the morning. Why couldn't you have waited until morning? You have work in the morning, you should be sleeping."
"I couldn't sleep, so I was watching the Weather Channel. They said there was a chance of frost tonight, and all I could think of was you out here, and I couldn't stand the thought of you out here in the cold."
As if to prove his point, Scotty shivered a little bit.
"Please come in. I have a nice warm loft, a soft warm bed."
Scotty gave a small smile, and Kevin lightly kissed it.
"And, I can offer you a warm body to cuddle with," Kevin said and kissed Scotty again.
"But I thought Jason left already."
Before Kevin could retort, Scotty grabbed Kevin's coat, and pulled him into a deep kiss.
"Okay, before this goes any further, let's go to where it's warm. Please?" Kevin asked, hoping he had successfully convinced Scotty to come back.
"Yes. But in the morning, can we form some kind of compromise on Jason and other ex-boyfriends?"
"Anything you want."
"You just want to get lucky tonight," Scotty teased.
"No, I just want you."
