[Insert the Thousand Great Lines I'll Never Get to Use as a Subject Line]

On September 22, 2004, after watching the premiere of Lost with Melanie, I literally ran back to my apartment to catch the premiere of a little show called Veronica Mars that I had heard quite a bit of buzz about. I left as soon as that Executive Producer credit hit the screen; I had my television set to UPN so I could just turn it on as soon as I ( Read more... )

Screw it. That was beautiful. And the tears they flow. I can't believe she's really gone.

:( I miss the show so MUCH already.

(I actually disagree that Veronica was not at all into the LDR role play thing. I mean, obviously she won't miss him as much as he misses her, but how is that any different than all her other relationships? ;P Sheesh, seriously, now that I think about it, the only male she seems to love as much as he loves her would be Keith. But anyway, I found her a little more convincing than you did. And I don't know why I'm rambling in parentheses like this. It's lame. I should stop.)

Veronica/Taser FTW! The scene with Piz telling her to put it away was a nice bookend to the scene in the premiere, when Logan, on the other hand, did the Tasering himself. Because Logan knows Veronica. Piz clearly doesn't. Piz can't handle Veronica's thirst for vengeance as demonstrated in this episode.

Remember when Logan watching her work a case and got all hot and Duncan was all shocked and confused? Piz is just clueless. AND ROB GETS IT. It was not even really subtext. It was just obvious. But not heavy-handed. Man am I tired...

I'll say it now. And I will cry again. What are we going to do Sunil?

And when, in the last scene, Veronica just sits there and lets that Goran guy talk shit to her and Logan notices that it doesn't seem like her just to shrug it off. She agrees with a face. Contrast that with the previous scene in the Cafeteria where Piz was telling her to let karma dole out justice, or whatever, not Veronica's style at all.... Logan would have let her tazer the guy (or as he did before, do it himself), that's the only kind of justice Logan and Veronica understand, it's why they get eachother.

She's going to run him over with her karma!

Sorry guys but this is totally why her relationship with Logan is unhealthy. He encourages the most negative parts of her personality.

I know this was the end, but I'm not sure it's really hit me yet. Since last week I keep thinking it has, but I'm thinking...not so much.

Beating the shit out of Piz is something I'm sure he's wanted to do on principle for a long time, and now he has an excuse.
Hee. I myself have been wanting to beat up Piz on principle for some time, so I was happy to be able to live vicariously through Logan.

Anyway, thanks again for hosting, Sunil! It was fun! Hopefully we all find reasons to get together again sometime.
