The Lurkers Support Me in Comments

First, a running update: I took a couple weeks off and restricted myself to the elliptical, which is a hell of a workout. My first attempt running was almost a success, but I felt the shin splints (oh, I don't think I ever posted that I got a bone scan that confirmed I did not have a stress fracture) flare up near the end. Last week, my coach ( Read more... )

Hey, I know that woodwork person. (Yes, I did check out each one that you linked just in case I knew them.) And the "out" person, I so know what they mean about giving up a lot of shows for the VM obsession. Oh boy.

Life is WEIRD indeed, Cow!

hmmmmm.

I finally caught up on tv this weekend but am too lazy to go back and read/comment. I think marathoning several different shows ruins the impact of all of them.

Good luck running. Keep up the exercises, or the pain returns. Don't be lazy like I.

AHA! See, this is why I only do one at a time!! upanashad thinks I'm crazy. I like to focus on one show at at time, if I'm marathonning, because that's the whole point of marathonning. But we're doing Weeds at a different rate...although at the rate we're going, we might actually finish it before I get through Life on Mars.

You are crazy. And we aren't really marathoning Weeds because we have big breaks in between when we watch. It's a new thing that is neither marathoning or watching it weekly. I know that's very hard on your brain.

But we're doing Weeds at a different rate...although at the rate we're going, we might actually finish it before I get through Life on Mars.

Well, we still have 17 episodes, plus the new season starts in August, AND you can't come for the next two weeks, so. Oh, and I saw a preview for the new David Duchovny show after The Tudors last night, it's going to be on after Weeds. I think it's called Caifornication or something. He's a sex addict. It looks wacky.

Taking advantage of the amnesty...I don't think I posted in the VM goodbye thread, but I've posted a teeny bit and lurked for a while. Hi! I found you via TWoP, where I also mostly lurked. I've only been watching VM live this season, but caught up fast and then looked online for more VM goodness. It's really the first show I've looked online for more on, which says something really special about it. Especially because I've been a closet fangirl of lots of things in the past.

Hi PC! *waves*

I'm taking advantage of the delurking amnestly.

Good to hear you are back on track for the half marathon. (yes, I've been reading along about your travails in running, and was very disappointed you would not be able to complete it since you have put so much effort into it!)

You think the elliptical is a workout? I do 40 minutes 4x a week, yet I can not fathom running a mile, let alone 10!

I am sorry to hear about VM, for you, me, and everyone who really loved it. I am going to require a box of kleenex on Tuesday. I'm also wondering if I will pay more attention to the episodes since I know they are the last, or if knowing they are the last won't let me get too into them.

In other words, Nice to meet you!

Crappity! I can only manage half an hour, and I was only doing it twice a week.

yet I can not fathom running a mile, let alone 10!
Man, running a mile is so much easier! The elliptical kills every part of my leg, and it's continuous, whereas the running is a run/walk combo.

Nice to meet you!
