Are we sure that Hiro's dad is on the right side of the older generation? That whole scene was full of tension for me because I'm thinking...no! He's a veelan too!

80% is good, because the opening scene where Claire takes the gun out and is all ready to shoot Peter, and then he's like, "Oh, never mind!" I totally thought was going to be a dream--Claire examining whether she had it in her to do that. But, no. That would have been sufficiently deep. What they had there was...meh.

Otherwise, this show owns me. It and VM are my only appointments with the TV now.

I agree Hiro needs to stop whining but I couldn't get past how much I adored Sulu sword fighting again. Have you seen Naked Time? (ST episode) This just whacked me out because it was Sulu with a sword again. I honestly think you have to be a trekker to geek out on this so much but I was just having my little squee party during the whole obiwan moment.

Yea - I have no clue what is going on with Niki/Jessica but the whole brain squeezing was awesome.

I must have missed something, because I don't remember when Sylar made the transition from being panicked upon finding out that he's going to explode and kill many innocent people to standing on a rooftop saying "Boom." Was it killing his mum or something that made him decide he DOES want to kill a lot of innocent people without any direct personal gain from it?

Eh, whatever. He looked cool doing whatever he was doing. He's batshit crazy, so if his motivations irrationally changed, I'll go with it. As long as he's wearing those cool black clothes and doing cool hand motions.

I would just like to state for the record that I still have no interest in Nathan. I don't like him or find him interesting or give a damn about him. I don't know if it's the character or the performance, but I just don't enjoy watching him at all.

Anything less than complete and utter flailtacular OMG HOLY FUCKING SHIT awesomeness next week will be considered a failure and a disappointment. This is the beauty of learning to not allowing yourself to have ( ... )

His mommy said he could be President. Everyone wants to be President! Plus, he killed his mom! He's traumatized again.

Yeah, I don't really know how it worked either. But he's cool now, and that's all that matters.

"Make one move and I kill her, Mohinder."
"I will kill you first."
"You don't have it in you."
"I almost killed Sylar."
"Almost?"
"He...stopped the bullet."
"You didn't have a backup plan?"
"Well, I knocked him unconscious later."
"And you didn't shoot him??"
"Well, I..."
"You know, I think I might just kill you first."

Heh. Yeah. Bennet doesn't have a lot of patience with incomptence.

I agree with the "80% awesome" assessment. Which gives me hope that next week COULD be every bit as wonderful as we wish for. I'm prepared if it's not, but I'm optimistic.

A couple years ago I would have said that nothing could live up to the expectation that has been created. But I've been exposed to such really GOOD tv - in multiple areas - especially in the last year. And this cast and crew and writers have proven a track record (I think "80% awesome" is a good assessment for the entire season in general, really) that makes me think they just MIGHT knock it out of the park.

...Then of course we can start fretting about next year!

I wonder what Mohinder and Bennet talked about all that time.

Whether VM deserves a fourth season?

"Say that VM deserves another season and I will kill her, Mohinder."
"But it does. It's totally desuurving."
"What about the ratings? They've been declining all season."
"Well, I..."
"You know, I think I might just kill you first."
