Family Above All

First, the funny:

NBC makes a great Heroes spoof.

NBC also makes a great Office spoof for Rainn Wilson's SNL monologue.

It's pretty much NBC's week, man. Except the "interactive online experience" during tonight's Heroes episode turned out to be distracting and not rewarding enough, despite the initial coolness factor. The whole mystique is sort ( Read more... )

I agree with you on the total awesomeness of the Heroes episode, but I felt that the extent of excatly what the Haitian was mindwiping from Mr bennet was unclear...

My initial read was that he was erasing the details of the staged "Haitan shoots Bennet and takes Claire" scenario, so that The Company won't find out what he did... he managed to lie about his knowledge of her powers to the Eric Roberts character.

Though having read your post, yeah the safest way would be to wipe the whole lot. Hmmmmm.

was that Hana? It totally looked like Hana, but I wasn't sure. Did she go undercover? Wouldn't Bennet recognize her? If it's not Hana, that's better, really, which means she's an additional hot brunette.

That wasn't Hana, it is indeed an additional hot brunette. Seems like her name is Candice, not that it will be mentioned on the show for, like, ten to twenty episodes or so.

And I agree, a decidedly awesome episode. Next week looks nice, too! Have you seen the trailer?

According to the episode commentary, Candice is seen next week. They just put her in one scene to set up the next episode.

OMG YOU ARE MAKING ME ALL MISTY EYED.

I felt the same way about "Company Man" (It's def among favorites ever along with "A Trip to the Dentist", STILL, and the "Doomsday" episode of Doctor Who, which marked the most crying ever from me for entertainment's sake). It was awesome on so many levels. But, Claire and Mr. B were the be all to end all.

I mean, even the awesomeness of MOTHERFUCKING CLAUDE and all the damn intrigue raised about why he every believed in the cause to begin with, if he even did, and who he was protecting and just what he did between then and now(and man, no wonder he's a damn misanthrope!! Mr B. shot and failed him not once BUT TWICE) did not even compare to how much I loved what happened between Claire and her father. It was beautiful.

I am surprised you did not mention the Horn-Rimmed! Flashback. For shame! It was so darn wonderful. "You look like my dad." Aww.

And, for God's sake, that the Haitian is his current partner. Like, he's not just his "tool" or something. That's just the way this company works ( ... )

Awww, indeed! That was a cute flashback, but there wasn't much to say about it.

I believe I have been converted to team!"Rebellion(Lies)", though I liked Snow Patrol a lot last night)
Go team!

I mean, I can't believe he's already compromised THAT MUCH, ALREADY. O, Tommy. *heart breaks* *again* I already care so much about him.
Poor kid!

Do you really think the Haitian will wipe that much? That might render HRG unable to work for the Company.

...I'm saying this like it's a bad thing. But it looks like Parkman is going to be Bennett's new partner, so they probably just got rid of enough so HRG will have no idea where Claire is. Which is heartbreaking enough on its own.

I'm thinking Claude knows exactly who Claire is from Peter's telling of the Homecoming incident. I'm also thinking my brain might melt from joy if they meet.

Nuh uh. Bennet said, "Go deep." Which, someone pointed out, is the same thing he asked for the rapist quarterback who came out with total amnesia. Bennet is going to be wiped good. At the very least, he's not going to remember Claire AT ALL. *sniff*

Eek. If you're right, will he just revert to how he was in his first year of working for the OWI? What will happen to Mrs. Bennett and Lyle and all the other people who know too much? Ack! Maybe we'll see the "Company Man" arc repeated writ small, and he'll find his conscience again in time for the finale. Or maybe he'll be a really ambiguous villian. Or...or...um. Shutting up now.

I think he's just a...hey, you're right. They said they were unable to conceive. So where DID Lyle come from?

Huh.
