VM Truthiness

So, the anonymous hate is at it again. Yes, the summer hiatus has brought about another round of "Let us say mean and nasty things about people we may or may not even know personally under the guise of anonymity!" I'm not going to point you in its direction; you can find it easily enough, I'm sure. The most hurtful part of it all is of course the ( Read more... )

I would like to take this opportunity to thank vm_truth for giving me and slayervixen a chance to mend our differences with each other.

Woot! Love meme! Okay, here goes...

I love... my beta, queen_haq, for always letting me bounce my hair-brained ideas off of her. :)

Is it hair-brained or hare-brained? Hair doesn't have brains! Let's ask Google.

The rabbit wins, 578,000 to 215,000!

I think VM fans are pretty damn classy to react the way they have to this failed experiment in hate. Why give in to the anonymity when you can politely ask to be defriended? I love it.

Nicely played, dudes & dudettes.

Yeah, I was actually pretty surprised at that, given the seemingly enormous popularity of the first one. Or latest one. Or, you know, the one with Kristen Bell's third cousin's dog.

Was there one between this and the one with Kristen Bell's third cousin's dog?

Who is named Sparky, by the way. I stalk him daily.

I don't think so. I don't recall.

I suck Sparky's cock, from what I hear.

i think i should be offended that i'm not bitchy enough for people to spout venom about me. i was so much cooler in the Buffy fandom. *giggle*

i ♥ my flist and none of you would be on it if i had crap like that to say. i'll never understand the appeal of anonymous commenters. isn't a screename anonymous enough? i mean, really.

If you really miss the cool, we can hop over the Beta, have a two sentence conversation about any one of a handful of people, and stir it all up, again. It's always there. Waiting.

Damn, I haven't been to the Beta in probably over a year but that actually sounds like fun, which scares me about myself.

I'd tell you tiggz that you are bitchy enough, but I'd be lying because I for one adore you.

I think VM fans are the greatest thing since sliced bread. If VM is the little train that could, then VM fans are the locomotive, baby.

Even the BNF are nice people, not just people you have to be nice to, because they're BNF. picklepocket busts her little British fingers every week, to give us transcript. That's canon gold, people. Canon gold. spadada? babsonite ? They're working their little butts off to save the show, and give people a creative outlet while doing so. But big name, little name, or in-between name, VM fans are just the best. jascott's picspam speaks for itself (and often, for me). eirefaerie's spec? Puts mine to shame, and she's funny, and so smart, to boot (okay, and I even loved her before, because she was a Bronzer). While I'm gushing, I should mention my first three VM online friends who weren't my friends from previous fandoms: magnolia888, harper47 and zimshan. They're bright, upbeat, entertaining, generous with compliments and have great insight to the series, but aren't above squeeing, when a good, old fashioned squee is needed. And I should mention my old online ( ... )

Oh, yes! What an excellent way to put it! I agree completely. None of the so-called BNFs (from what little I know of the fandom, not being on TWoP) are in any way rude, jerks, arrogant, etc etc etc, I think you people must be genetic experiments gone right, because seriously what is up with that.

So, major points, dudes. Major points.
