Tonight I played fourteen parts in one night. And to think I used to think three parts was a lot. I was a hippie, a newsie, a town crier/beatnik, a lady-in-waiting, four sister princesses, and six citizens. It was exhausting. But hilarious.

Fourteen parts? Was that in fourteen different vignettes or did you talk to yourself occasionally? Also, most importantly, what did your pajamas look like?

I've read both of these books; though I don't remember much about reading the second. It's one I liked but don't really recommend much.

Three different pieces, and the six citizens only talked to each other. We had little pictures on sticks. It was ridiculous.

I read it several years ago in basically one very very long sitting on rainy day at a vacation beach rental and reading it was all I did all day and all night.
I can believe it! You just get so wrapped up in it.

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell! I read that book almost entirely on an airplane/in airports. I remember loving the world building, footnotes...and can't remember almost nothing else. Drat. My memory's going.

In other book/Seanan McGuire related news, I just got three more October Daye novels! (Bringing my total to 5.)
