You have the greatest writing style. So entertaining. Also, I am currently getting my Master's in Speech Pathology, with a minor in Audiology--so rare to hear anyone reference Audiology! Audiologists basically test people's hearing and equip them with assistive devices (mostly hearing aids). Most people haven't heard of audiologists even though hearing loss is quite common.

Oh, ha, very cool! Yeah, I'd never heard of it, so I looked it up online afterward because I knew I hadn't really understood it when she explained it. It seems like one of those fields you always have to explain to people over and over, like my having to constantly explain that pharmacology is not the same as pharmacy.

Also, some restaurants just always ask that "special occasion" question; I'm not sure they were assuming it was a date. I've been out in a group of 3 women, none of whom were couples, and been asked that question. I think some places want to establish themselves as "special occasion" restaurants so they plant the idea in your mind. Or something.

I am intrigued by where this story is headed. I too am a fan of Gerald.

I too am a fan of Gerald.
I am glad his triumphant return has been so well received! I will have to bring him back for non-AMWA posts, I think. I could maybe use him to do some long-overdue posts that I never got around to writing.
