Dang, I used to live in Echo Park (up on the hill over looking the lake), but we didn't have a Time Travel Mart.

I did spend a lot of time at Golden Apple though. The whole Fantagraphics crew would make a weekely jaunt.

I can't believe you don't like Rushmore! Your opinion is wrong and must be revisited.

OMG, Family Business! I'm having happy flashbacks to high school lunchtime shenanigans. :-D

you earlier post: OMG THAT IS SO SCARY. I would be even more paranoid. I would have had to call someone to come get me from the sketchy fast food bathroom. My fear of big cities is back again after reading that.

(and now I have "Do You Wanna Data My Avatar?" running through my head. All it takes now it reading the title.)

While the Time Travel Store is totally awesome, I can't figure out how it stays in business. What sells enough to pay for Real Estate in LA?

As long as they sell one Temporlator a month, they should be fine!

Also, it's a non-profit. I'm sure they get real donations. The retail store is just a front, like the pirate store and all the other 826 establishments.

Ah. That makes sense. I appear to have missed that part.

Oh, oh, yeah. The 826 stores are all writing workshops. The pirate store is at 826 Valencia, and Dave Eggers needed a retail front since the area was zoned for retail. All the other stores have different themes.

I think I'd like working at that time-travel store. I like the mission of the organization, and I'd have fun arranging those aisles.

What is lox? I heard of it before, somewhere...

Lox is just a fancy name for smoked salmon. Basically.
