On Monday, December 21, 2009, I packed for my two-week road trip, carefully selecting the T-shirts I would wear on each day and making sure I had everything I needed

"I'm not sure who that guy is. One of the writers?"
That's the mysterious Man-In-Black (also known as Jacob's nemesis) from the S5 finale. He was in the flashback scene where he and Jacob await a ship approaching the Island, and he talks about how one day he'll find a "loophole" and be able to kill Jacob. He's presumably the entity that's pretending to be Locke in the latter half of S5, since when Ben finally kills Jacob, Jacob replies that Fake!Locke has finally found his loophole. So basically, he's the bad guy. :D
I'm glad you got your Locke t-shirt (finally) - feel like a super cool sleuthy-nerd whenever I wear mine. I went to the gallery on the night it opened (because it's so close to where I live) - and yes, it's tiny. Fitting hundreds of crazy Lost fans into it on opening night was ... interesting.
Also, I live about two hundred feet from the Pinkberry at the Grove! (And isn't that parking validation thing irritating? Geez.) You were within shouting distance (almost) of where I live. Cool!
Oh MAN. You had so many adventures before you got to us! I knew I had good reason to fear fast-food joint restrooms. Frell. I don't think I'll ever be able to use one again without thinking of your story. (BTW, Luke would like to thank you for introducing us to Indian food as he now regularly raids the TJ's Indian fare for lunch at work.)
One topic of conversation was Placentia, where I was going the next day to visit my aunt. I thought it was a terrible, ugly name.
Oh my gosh yes. My brother-in-law lives there, and I get gross mental images whenever I think of the name.
Those pictures of you on the LA freeway are so trippy, just 'cause I've driven past those exact exits soooo many times before. (Heh, every time I drive by the Echo Park exit now, I think of Cameron saying "I got it at this awesome thrift store in Echo Park.")
I decided to go with that tuna melt, especially since it was $8.88. They should call it the Cromartie.
(BTW, Luke would like to thank you for introducing us to Indian food as he now regularly raids the TJ's Indian fare for lunch at work.) Awesome! He is welcome. I have tried the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and paneer tikka masala, and they're all good.
