Aug 25, 2009 23:00

Friday is a big day for my three compatriots, as the Farscape panel in the morning is their can't-miss panel. Unfortunately, it is at the same time as the Guild panel, which is my can't-miss panel. "How do you know?" says Mini.

"I know! The last train came at [such-and-such]. The next train will come at [such-and-such]."

"But how do you know they're on time?"

"They're on time."

"But how do you know?"

"[Mini], don't drink wine anymore."

Grrr. I'm still don't know why you were ruining my whimsical optimism by dissing on my two small glasses of wine.

Optimism? It was cynicism!

(Edit now that I'm at an actual computer. Or delete and new post, since I know you don't get edits.) As you know, I was trying to maintain optimism that the train would come sooner than expected -- like perhaps the previous train was running late and was just about to arrive -- and that I'd not have to wait so long for my jet lagged ass to get to sleep. Of course, you made sure I knew that the train couldn't possibly come at any other time than what was printed on your piece of paper and I was THE STUPIDEST/DRUNKEST PERSON ALIVE for even half-heartedly hoping for that.

... and, I'm going to email you, because I feel I had more to say that shouldn't be said in public.

I thought you were talking about the opposite, actually. I never think about trains coming early, only late. So when you questioned whether they'd be on time, I thought you expected them to be late, and I was trying to reassure you that, no, they would come when they said they would, no worries. I'm really sorry I made you feel bad; we appear to have completely misunderstood each other.

Who's that guy on the right? Oh, you may not be able to see. Here you go:

The Punisher. (Played on film by… the guy from Hung, Thomas Jane.) Seen here with the Scarlet Spider and Phoenix.

It would be awesome if they guy Jane Espenson was with was Bob Harris. Because I'd totally geek out over him.

The Punisher.
My question was rhetorical. He was the only one I truly recognized!

Scarlet Spider
Ooooh! That's who that is.

It was not.

Okay, that bunny-ears girls was just adorable when she laughed.
Right?

I, um, I haven't seen "Epitaph One" yet. Is it on Hulu?
No, it's on the DVDs.

OMG, that "feudal Japan" comment makes me lurve Joss even more.
Hee, right?

"Stealth seating order," heh. I was missing those.
Were you now.
